The results have finally been read out and Nigeria will soon get a new president, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari. He contested four times, and finally now has victory. Here's a big congratulations to him from all of us at HMB(hunnymixblog) About President Jonathan, he's really the hero in all this. His ambition to be president wasn't worth the bloodshed. He conducted a free, fair and credible election regardless of the outcome. He accepted defeat and set a good example. INEC chairman Prof. Jega just declared him winner of the 2015 presidential election having certified the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election. After announcing the presidential election results, Prof. Jega called all party agents to come on stage at the collation center and sign the Presidential election sheet by INEC, and every agent did except the agent for PDP. He climbed the stage, spoke with Jega, shook his hands and walked away without signing the result sheet

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote alongside other stakeholders have paid President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari a visit in Abuja. Buhari was also joined by Former military leader, Abdusalam Abubakar, Primate Nicholas Owoh, VP-elect Yemi Osinbajo and others at the APC office in Abuja.

The All Progressive Congress Presidential Candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, will address the nation on his electoral victory. The APC is already making arrangement for his address at its National Headquarter in Abuja. President Jonathan also congratulaed Buhari by placing a phone call to him moments ago.

The Buhari Support Organisation, BSO, has asked security agencies to arrest of Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the Director, Media, Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, for announcing unofficial results. This call was made by the Director, Media and Information of the BSO, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, on Monday in Abuja at a news conference. Maduekwe said this was the time for security agencies to show their neutrality by arresting Fani-Kayode because the only authority allowed by law to announce election results was the Independent National Electoral Commission. According to him. It has been reported that President Goodluck Jonathan has called his major challenger and the likely-winner of the 2015 presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC to congratulate him. According to a source, the president spoke with Muhammadu Buhari on the phone and will address the country after rounding off his meeting with his cabinet.

The Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared dusk-to-dawn curfew on Port Harcourt, the state capital, hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission announced the result of the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state. In a terse statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, George Feyi, the governor said the curfew will hold from 7p.m. to 6a.m. “The curfew will continue till further notice,” a part of the statement said. The declaration of the curfew comes amidst heightened tension occasioned by the conduct of last Saturday’s election in the state. Mr. Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress had boycotted the polls over the failure of INEC to supply result sheets to many polling units especially in the party strongholds.

Luis Suarez has hinted that he could return to Liverpool one day, insisting that he will never play for another Premier League club.
